(Former vet assistant here) Do you see her scratching her ears? Have you changed her diet recently? Is she exposed to any new climates or surroundings she hasn’t been exposed to before?

I adopted her 3 weeks ago! She seems to love her food and it's really healthy stuff, but yes, it's different from the crappy dry food she used to get. She's an indoor cat but I took her on one short walk around the block on a leash. It's a bit hotter than usual here right now.

Is her food chicken based? The reason I ask is usually food allergies = ear scratches and outdoor allergies = feet chewing. A lot of kitties have allergies to chicken since it’s the most common ingredient for foods and so it’s common to develop an intolerance.

Okay next question what brand food is it? I can recommended comparable priced food that doesn’t have that as the first ingredient :) Also an oatmeal bath or bath wipes will help sooth her agitated skin. It’s still good to go to the vet just in case but it sounds like the food!

Wellness Complete wet food and Hill's Science Oral Care dry food. The wet food guys have plenty of other flavors without chicken, but the oral care dry food doesn't seem to have other options. She was treated for dental issues while at the shelter so the oral care is important
