Flight delayed 4+hours in Indy, missed DFW connections, ran to catch a connection only to be stuck on plane delayed again for @AmericanAir crew. Asked politely if I could buy food as I’m starved. 30 year FA out of DFW says no. Exec. Platinum #CustomerExperience

If the doors are closed, they're not always able to let passengers off. So sorry, Nanette. Snacks will be served one you're in the air.
The doors were not closed. Plane was boarding. We sat for another 35-45 min more after i asked for boarding and waiting for crew before doors were closed. Not allowed to deplane to purchase food & not allowed to purchase snack on board.
