To be clear, he also voted Republican when he believed in the candidate, but always registered Democrat starting with FDR.

This is how we used to vote. You'd vote for the person with the best platform despite party. GOP changed all of that.

Here in Aust we vote election by election based on current candidate values every 1 free to change term by term always country 1st.

Plenty of Australians vote for the same party at every election regardless of candidate.

I was taught 2 vote each election individually regardless of party, shame more aren't taught same as politicians would have 2 fight 4 job.
