Trumps offer extracts a painful price from legal immigration. Changes and modifications would be all right, but the POTUS adopts an all or nothing, take it or leave it proposal, which although it has its good points, is on the whole unacceptable.

It is, yet they put those here illegally ahead of everything else. Just listen to what they say and do. They let the shutdown happen because there was no DACA deal. Trump offered a pathway to citizenship if we secure our boarder. That only makes sense.

I'm afraid that's just not true, Tammy. Trump ended the executive program for no reason other than to appease his racist supporters. Now, the GOP is holding hundreds of thousands of people hostage while pretending they care. It's disgusting.

The date set for DACA to be renewed came up and Trump extended it to give Congress time to do something. Obama himself stated he didn’t have the authority to do DACA but did it by executive action anyway. Trump sent it to Congress to take action.

There were already lawsuits filed against DACA and it would have been deemed unconstitutional anyway.
