🙋🏻Good question. Physics degree will get you into shape with ordinary and partial differential equations, linear algebra, and advanced calculus (esp. a lot of Green's Thm, Gaussian Integrals)

'cause you have to take those classes and then use them a ton in your physics problem sets. But it's generally computational math. If you want to learn more "rigorous" math, including proof-based courses, you would go the math degree route. 🤓🤓
