Oh... that's where it may have originated! If I start writing about Aquaman, I'll know to stop listening to David's podcasts.

I don't know why but I keep getting anodyne and synecdoche mixed up...
-
I have never heard of 'synecdoche' - thought it was a city in New York -- but just looked it up. Super cool word!

Embarrassed...I had to look it up. It’s not a word I’ve used or even think I’ve read before. Learned something new!
-
I had to look it up too, before I committed it to the page. Since I'd never used it, I wasn't sure... but -- sure enough -- there it was. I had it right in my head, even though I've never uttered it.

Very cool. Words will pop into my head that I know the meaning of, but not how to pronounce.

-
I grew up in the rural south - in Paris, TN - where the small po-dunk towns around me shared the names of more famous cities. That meant I believed Athens, Versailles, and Santa Fe were pronounced AYthens, VersAYles, and Santa FEE.
