    Police in Edmundston, New Brunswick say a 26-year-old woman from British Columbia is dead after an altercation with police today. A police news release says an officer shot her when she confronted him while holding a knife and uttering threats.

    On the 1 year anniversary of the final report: Take a moment to thank the thousands of survivors, families, Elders, community members who came forward to share their stories. So many families shared their deepest pain and asked for justice.

    I'm tired of writing about why my son's life matters. Over and over we give perpetrators the benefit of the doubt & the lives of victims are dismissed. If talking about racism makes you uncomfortable, ask yourself why? I wrote about it
