I'm happy to see them. Mostly they seem to be attached to abstract puzzles though, so hopefully we start seeing this sort of thing in larger strategy games.

Becoming more commonplace, especially in abstracts, and that’s a good thing I think. Not everything needs to be monsters or pirates or merchants. I’d like to see more of it on bigger strategy games.
