PayGo passed. It's unfortunate, it's not smart economics or messaging, but we have to deal with it. The silver lining here is that we will know where our leaders truly stand when it comes time to vote to waive the paygo requirement for certain progressive issues.

Scientists at Manchester University have invented a graphene sieve that turns salt water into drinking water. This could revolutionise water filtration and provide safe drinking water for millions of people.

is a disastrous policy for any major progressive policies. Retweet this post to spread awareness about this sneaky establishment trick to keep important legislation from passing. And tell your Congressman to vote NO on PAYGO. More on PayGo here:

is one of those stupid self-defeating policies that only Democrats ever seem to inflict on themselves. This would be like Chuck Schumer saying "the first thing we're going to do when we take the Senate is bring back the filibuster."

If is such a “master legislator,” why do Dems have to pass that kneecaps themselves as first order of business? Did the pass where they didn’t pass tax cuts unless they could pay for it? Of course not, why would they punch themselves in the face?

You know what I don't mind deficit spending thought experiment for? Averting climate change. is such a catastrophic bit of nonsense that there is no way to rationally give the benefit of the doubt on her motives. It exists to kneecap progress.

Passing early in the congress is one of those genius national Democrat moves, like weakening the filibuster 5 seconds before losing the senate.

Every progressive in Congress should be rushing to support and in blocking these purposefully self-defeating rules. The challenges we face are too great for nonsense like Which 16 will step up?

Let's not forget economically, but I suppose that could be a subset of pragmatically. Paygo is basically the death knell of big bold ideas. The kind of ideas and vision that we'll need in 2020. So as usual, Dem leadership flirts with snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Why is still insisting on ? Not only is it bad economics, it stands as a direct obstacle to the very causes that the majority of the people in the United States support and keeps us from putting the GOP on record as opposing those policies. There is no benefit.

In order for to go into effect, it needs to pass the House. If some 18 Dems vote no, it fails. The vote will take place on Thursday. Will enough progressives have the courage to vote no on the first roadblock to , & ? Let's see.

Unification calls before the primary are premature and counterproductive. Now is when we should be discussing and frankly disagreeing about where our policy interests lie. The lesson of 2016 is not the clamp down harder on the machinery; rather, let democracy do its job.

Remember when we were willing to give Trump $25B for his wall and all he had to do was let some young people who for all intents and purposes were already American stay and have a path to citizenship? It's almost as if the wall isn't that important to security and never was.

Think back to an activity you were involved in before 1996. It could be a campus rehearsal, fam reunion, boot camp, a book reading, pickup basketball, where you were when you heard Lady Di died. No one had a smartphone. That's as culturally impactful as saying "No one had a car"

Lest we forget amidst all of the other craziness: Trump believes that human beings, like batteries, have a finite amount of energy and that physical exercise only depletes it. Exercise more, die younger. Actually, when you think about it, that does explain his schedule.
