While I was running for Congress last year a hospital bill for $2k showed up from 2017. They claimed that Blue Cross never acknowledged the bill and tried to tell me I showed up to the doc with no insurance. Yea right. 1/4

Currently experiencing this myself.From an emergency room dr. Bill not covered by my insurancebecause they gave it to a ‘negotiating company’ to try to get fee reduced.Dr refused to accept the negotiation and is trying to collect full amount from me. Nightmare. System is broken.
Nightmare. It’s a result of a profit driven system. We are expendable

Yes and I have “good” insurance. I would take my chances with national healthcare type system in a minute.
