Honestly, there's no downside for Sondland at this point. Republicans treat every seeming betrayal with the same level of wrath. He's already on their bad side. May as well just lean into it.

Sondland is Independently wealthy& successful businessman. I remember when he was pussyfooting around with his testimony, protesters were gathering in front of his hotels. His wife told him, Testify, tell the Truth and stop this now. Guessing he will go underground for awhile
