That's why I've chosen to release my immigration platform. While Trump continues to pursue his archaic immigration policies that illegally deny asylum seekers, shut down the border and detain immigrant children from their families indefinitely,

I know we need to take concrete steps toward making America a fair and equitable country for all.

My platform is a set of four simple promises that will guide our fight toward a fairer immigration system.

Immigration Promise: 1. I will fight to ensure a path to citizenship for the 11 million undocumented immigrants currently residing in this country.

2. I will fight to reinstate and strengthen DACA, DAPA, and TPS orders immediately.

3. I will fight to stop deporting immigrants who have been in our country for decades without incident and instead, focus on resettlement programs that have proven to make communities flourish economically and culturally.

4. I will fight to block ICE’s ability to hijack local tax-payer money, which forces local law enforcement to do its bidding.

As a first-generation native US citizen, I intimately understand the value and strength that immigrants bring to our country. My parents are hard workers, with my mother literally breaking her back in order to ensure that me and my brother had a shot at the American Dream.
