1/2 Both sides of the Intra-Afghan Negotiation teams shared initial lists of agenda items & conducted preliminary discussions on the list.
2/2 Since the agenda items need further consultations, the two sides agreed for a recess & to resume the 2nd round of talks on January 5, 2021. We thank the People and State of Qatar for their generous hospitality & provision of facilitates to the talks.

It’s very unfortunate that both sides agreed on a recess of peace talks but not on ceasefire. Very disappointing.
