The only place this leads to is the Mueller Investigation being illegal as well. #ThursdayThoughthttps://twitter.com/ByronTau/status/1220441519058051084 …

I don't see how that impacts legality of Mueller investigation (disgraceful as it was.) Carter Page surveillance, even tho illegal, doesn't seem to have yielded much.

Thousands and thousands of other people electronic communications caught up in this web because of 2 hop. You have no idea how much info was obtained that they haven’t told us about. A FISA warrant on one subject (Page) is an intrusion into thousands of American lives. IMHO

It doesn't really work like that.

I'm aware of the two-hop picture. I even corresponded with Bill Binney to confirm it. My point is different: Mueller had such meagre returns. I'm dubious that charges against Stone, Manafort, Cohen, even Flynn were boosted by two-hop surveillance results.

They might not even have used two-hop. In the IG report, all descriptions of the electronic surveillance performed on Page are thoroughly blacked out, but there are references to additional restrictions on that surveillance going beyond the normal rules.
