These charges seem to deal with him taking unethical personal benefits. They do not have a direct line connection to anything Biden? But, if he is removed because of them, is it then easier to investigate him for corruption related to the Bidens?

Sytnyk was strong Biden ally in Ukraine. Agreed that these charges do not have direct connection to Biden. "Justice" system in Ukraine seems to be similar to US federal system: whether you get charged depends on your political party (in US, whether you're a Democrat).

When Yovanovitch was questioned, Sytnyk was the one person she remembered by name as having said something protective about.
