Fun fact! I’ve had arthritis since I was a kid that was misdiagnosed as ‘growing pains’ despite being 5’4” for at least 12 of those years...?! Any fun misdiagnoses?

I had asthma from age 6 but my doctor wasn't sure ventolin was right for me until age 10. I almost died about 5 or 6 times

Oof. Athsma (from the Finn side) and rheumatoid arthritis (from the German side) both. Ventolin hit the market when I was in high school. Still waiting for the arthritis miracle.

Long-term antibiotics worked for me. I had to seek out that sort of treatment, though; it's not generally accepted.

And by "worked", I mean as in "cure", not as in "disease modifying agent". Of course residual damage persists after the infection is killed, but the feeling of dealing with a hostile power ceases.
