“Popular rumors hold that the NYPD has stopped enforcing the laws against fare evasion in the subway. Some are also suggesting that crime is climbing steeply in the transit system. As commissioner of the NYPD, I can tell you that both claims are false.” ⬇️http://ow.ly/eHSb30pPDfo

This is just crazy. Of course people have to pay their fares. Ocasio is a dangerous socialist who doesn’t stand for America.

If the police commissioner himself is admitting that crime in the transit system is not climbing then why are 500 new officers being hired to police the transit system?!

Lol that’s because every time someone commits a crime in the subway the NYPD makes them an EDP and says they weren’t in the right mental capacity and calls EMS to transport to a hospital instead of a jail cell.

Also I fully support the NYPD and in no way is it there fault. Their hands are tied because of this administration

That's great. Then what about all the people who smoke K2 or god knows what else on the last two cars every night when I ride home from work? All the homeless sleeping on the trains in the morning? And the average response time of two hrs. Would appreciate a little help there

Slap that in front of @AOC who think the NYPD should not be stopping fare jumpers and is communicating that to her constituents. She is doing such a disservice. #backtheblue
