The Commissioner is forgetting who his target audience is. He is forgetting that there is past history of the abuse of the Employee Assistance Programs, not just in the civil sector of law enforcement agencies l, but in every facet of the job force.....

... when the tools of a person’s trade are taken from him, it’s confirming several things: the FAITH in that person is SHAKEN.... the TRUST in that person is questionable or has been questioned....and therefore their abilities have been called into question....

..... ... CONFIDENTIALITY is almost nonexistent. The STIGMA has been magnified to such a height that if that person is not already “at the edge”.... there is nothing left. It might not be the fault of the employer that a final act is committed.....

.....But it might as well be. This is most unfortunate. Support must come from the job and from home. Wives, Spouses, Significant Others of EVERY walk of life.... That part was for ALL of you. Support your loved ones.... don’t beat them up when they walk in the door at home..
