The officer yelled for help as the struggle continued, & the other officers discharged their firearms, striking the suspect. Our officer was shot one time in the chest, the round did not penetrate his bullet-resistant vest. He also has injuries to his face from being punched.

The officer is in stable condition & is currently being treated at St Luke’s Hospital. The 29-year-old suspect, who has had previous interactions with the police, was pronounced deceased at Harlem Hospital. The suspect’s firearm (previously pictured) was recovered at the scene

I am grateful that the Officer is ok. This happens when you release these thugs from prison. I say, leave them in prison and build more prisons.
