At approx 8:19 this morning, a woman called police to report that she was the victim of a past domestic assault. Two officers from the
@NYPD120Pct responded drove her in their police car to conduct a search for the suspect in the area.Show this thread -
During this search, the woman pointed out her alleged assailant. When officers moved to arrest the man he became combative and violently resisted arrest. During the struggle, an NYPD Taser was deployed, hitting the suspect’s back. The man then pulled out a gun.

Officers then grabbed his hand to direct the gun away from bystanders. The man fired twice, and an officer returned fire, striking him. In the exchange, a female officer was struck once in the hand. The suspect was pronounced deceased & his gun was recovered at the scene.
