The three largest magazines pictured there not only won’t work in that rifle but, also won’t even hold the correct ammo for it. This is pure fear mongoring, fake news.
This is the type of gun you see in @CallofDuty, not on our city streets.

Three of those magazines don't work with that rifle, good job New York, also the SKS have never classified as a "Assault rifle" as it does not have Full auto or burst fire functionality, it is simple a Rifle.

It's a decades old Chinese rifle developed at the end of WW2 with a pretty terrible aftermarket stock.
