They dont protect anything. The NYPD is a completely corrupted and useless force.

In 1990 2,245 people were homicide victims in NYC. Last year there were 289 . Serious crime is down across NYC and the City is safer for all. The NYPD is still working hard to lower crime and improve community relations . The facts cannot be disputed .
