Thank you. We checked, and while waiting for police to arrive, both the SUV occupants and the cyclist exchanged information and told officers they no longer required a report and left the location.
Do you condone a civilian holding onto the woman’s bike, detaining her, blocking her passage, getting in her face, intimidating her, and not allowing her to leave, despite her clear protests?
If someone is blocking a bike lane (or crosswalk, or sidewalk), can we then pull them out of the car and detain them? That is an infraction which would potentially kill someone. This is a cosmetic scratch.
