Around 650pm, 2 uniformed officers in the Bronx approached a man who had just broken the window of a vehicle. When the officers attempted to take him into custody, a struggle ensued. The suspect repeatedly said “I have a gun, (EXPLETIVE) die” (gun pictured below)pic.twitter.com/y4GcvWlZ9b

One officer discharged his firearm twice, striking the suspect. A loaded 9mm gun was recovered. Body-worn camera footage from one officer captured him saying that the subject had the gun pointed at his chest.

I support NYPD & graduated from citizens academy. The circumstances of this situation do not meet minimum requirements for the use of deadly force. The family needs get compensated & rather than protecting this officer you should advocate for his removal from the force.
