When a community knows the names of their neighborhood police officers it creates trust, affording those officers to keep hands on the pulse of that neighborhood's demographics and power players. that's how it was done back in the day when officer Joe knew every kid on the block
Officers Cabral and An from the @NYPD23Pct make it a point to stop by the parks they cover in East Harlem to interact with local kids and set a positive example for them.
