What a heartfelt eulogy. No words were more truer then those spoken by Commissioner O'Neill today. God Bless the #NYPD
#RIP Det. Simonsen
#NeverForget

Only once have I called 911 for myself. One of the officers who came that night saved my life - not in that moment, and not in what she did, but in what she said, which echoed in my mind until the moment I most needed it. I will never forget her. I can never thank her enough.
That is exactly what makes our Officers so special. They have bravery, they have strength, they have compassion and they have the words of comfort. Respect to All of our Officers out there.

I was there that day and stood with many New Yorkers in Prayer For Brian. My many prayers for his family and his Brothers and Sisters in Blue.pic.twitter.com/ndw5pIH0y5
May the angels take you to the heavens above. RIP Detective
Heartbreaking on all levels!
Thank you, Commissioner for such a heartfelt eulogy. To his family, sincerest condolences - you'll never be forgotten by your family in blue. May his memory be a blessing and know that he leaves the world a better place for having been here.
Sad, I hate the word Friendly Fire , should be just tragedies act
