This morning officers from the @NYPD7Pct responded to 227 Cherry St to a 911 call of a domestic incident.
While escorting 1 person towards the hallway to discuss what happened, the individual broke away, grabbed a large knife & began stabbing the victim.

Officers fired, striking the knife welding suspect Officers immediately called for an ambulance & began CPR The suspect was transported to Beekman Downtown Hospital & later pronounced dead The victim was taken to an area hospital & is being treated for slash & puncture wounds
