Today NYPD and all of our law enforcement partners responded to reports of a suspicious package at @CNN. Responding officers identified a device that appeared to be a live explosive device. The NYPD Bomb Squad responded, secured the device, and removed it for investigation.

The NYPD is currently deploying resources around the city out of an abundance of caution. If anyone sees something that looks suspicious, please call 911. Anyone with any information on this incident today, or about incidents in the New York area, please call 1-888-NYC-SAFE.
