    Today’s events serve as a stark reminder of the dangers police face every single day. These brave cops were there protecting a domestic violence victim, putting themselves between her and mortal danger.

    Two courageous NYPD cops were shot today doing the job the public asks them to do. By the grace of God they will survive — but this is a stark reminder of the inherent dangers our men and women in blue face as they keep people safe. They do it on behalf of every New Yorker.

    As of today, 11/23/20, all e-bikes (Class 1-3) are allowed in NYC. E-Bike riders may use lanes and should wear helmets. Helmets are required for 16-17 year olds and working cyclists, as well as all Class 3 riders. More info:

    E-bike. Can I ride an e-bike in nyc? Yes, if you are 16 or older, you can now ride an e-bike or e-scooter in NYC. Can I ride in a bike lane? Yes, e-bikes and e-scooters (not mopeds!) are allowed on bike lanes. You may also ride on any city street with a speed limit no greater than 30 MPH. Do i need to wear a helmet? Helmets are strongly recommended for everyone! If you are under 18 or your bike can go more than 20 MPH, a helmet *is* required by law. Helmets are also required for delivery cyclists.

    Late last night, officers from the conducted a car stop in Bronx. During their investigation, they were able to safely recover this loaded firearm while making three arrests, including one of a known gang member, helping to keep the streets safe from gun violence.

    Early this morning, while most people were sleeping, officers from the were busy getting these 4 loaded firearms off the streets of Brooklyn. They arrested 6 suspects that included 2 known gang members and two individuals on parole, helping to keep the community safe.

    When our District 1 team was on a water break in a local store, they heard a commotion & soon confronted a shoplifter (who reportedly targets the store often). POs Roca & Accetta arrested the man & soon learned he was sought by the court system for several prior burglary charges.
