Ready to drop into the weekend. Our Aviation, Harbor, & SCUBA members are constantly training for any water related situation they may encounter. With the warm weather finally here, the recreational boating season has begun. Always practice safe boating on the NY waterways.

Yesterday, #ESU was called to   for a vehicle that had gone over the safety railing of a raised portion of the Henry Hudson Parkway. Our members were able to safely extricate the motorist & pass him off to  #EMS who transported him to a local hospital. Great job!

Quick Special Ops response led to a great arrest of a violent criminal last night. A male driving a stolen a vehicle, fled on foot & tried to evade cops by jumping in the water. Aviation located him while ESU & SCUBA members entered the water & apprehended the perp

Hay! Great collaborative effort this afternoon by members of Aviation, ESU, Harbor, SCUBA & Mounted. After receiving a call for a horse stuck in the muddy water @OrchardBeach , our members were able to pull the horse to shore where he received needed medical attention

Another great job by our #ESU K9 Team   Wednesday night, Officer Loomis & Bloodhound Daisy were requested by  personnel to help locate a missing 9 year old child. Daisy was able to track & locate the child who was returned home safely & treated by awaiting EMS

Saturday night, #ESUK9 PO Lang & his 4-legged partner Cannon were called to assist  members in finding an illegal firearm. Cannon indicated on a bag that contained a loaded 9mm handgun, & the subject was arrested.  Great work!

Whether rappelling from buildings, extricating pinned motorists, or negotiating with persons in crisis, #ESU members can do it all Last week, our members were flagged down & quickly revived an unconscious & unresponsive male on an  platform by utilizing Narcan Excellent job!

Yesterday, a local fisherman alerted  regarding suspicious debris submerged in Jamaica Bay Our #Harbor #SCUBA members responded, entered the water, & successfully recovered an assortment of firearms which had been reported stolen from a prior burglary Excellent work!

For almost 9 hours #ESU members patiently negotiated with a male, wanted by the FBI, who was threatening to jump from the 31st floor of a  building. ESU gained entry through the open window & made the apprehension, saving the man's life Excellent teamwork !
