    Update: Queens man charged in a 92-count criminal complaint with aggravated animal cruelty, prohibition of animal fighting and other crimes. Defendant allegedly bred dogs for fighting, keeping them in deplorable conditions in backyard garage and basement.

    Acts of cruelty against voiceless animals are despicable. Very glad to see this abhorrent ring dismantled by Suffolk County officials. Animals are innocent members of our community and deserve to be protected.

    After a religious artifact was stolen from a Bronx church, DelMonico & Ponce worked around the clock &, this morning, arrested Thomas Poveromo. Recently paroled w/ over 2 dozen arrests, he is no stranger to the criminal justice system. Great job by all involved.
