    Despite the remarkable gains we’re making (against already record-lows), achieving further declines in crime and violence gets more difficult each year. So, all 8.6M NYers must participate. No one can retreat. Together – in every neighborhood – that’s how we’re moving forward.

    July 2018 was the safest on record in NYC, marking a ⬇️ 2% decrease in the total number of index crimes reported from this same time last year.

    Thanks to the quick action of NYers who witnessed a young woman jump into the East River from the Williamsburg Bridge this morning, cops — showing remarkable coordination b/t our Patrol, Emergency Service, Harbor, Aviation & SCUBA units — made sure she was rescued safely.
