    This afternoon snowfall will begin in NYC, and is predicted to last until Thursday morning. We are strongly encouraging all NYers to avoid any unnecessary travel. Please plan your evening commute accordingly, and be sure to check for early closures and cancellations.

    Yesterday we were pleased to see NYPD Detective Rodney Wallace-Messam who is part of the US Marshals NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force leave the hospital after being injured in the line of duty. We wish him a fast recovery!

  6. These vehicles were seized by Officers from the 102 Precinct as part of our "temp tag" initiative, targeting illegal & fraudulent out of state temporary registrations. In most cases, the operators of these vehicles displaying a forged "temp tag" are subject to arrest!

    We mourn the death of Larry Byrne, our former Deputy Commissioner for Legal Matters, who passed away Sunday evening. The Byrne family has deep ties to policing in NYC, his father was a cop, & his brother, Edward Byrne, was tragically assassinated in the line of duty in 1988.

    You spoke, we listened! After receiving many 311 complaints from the community, the 102 Pct. Traffic Safety Unit seized these illegally parked motorcycles and removed them from our streets.

    The thoughts of every member of the NYPD are with the two U.S. Marshals () who were shot & injured in the Bronx this morning while attempting to apprehend a suspect wanted for shooting a Trooper. Wishing them both a speedy recovery.
