We’re still here ! We’ll sleep here if we have to. We reject invitations to engage in “discussions” that were already settled. We had contract negotiations for that! We need NYP to honor the contract and respect the healthcare benefits our retirees worked for, NOW.

Nurse retirees have given decades of their lives to caring for patients only to be betrayed by . This is completely unacceptable. We’re not going anywhere until administration respects the retiree healthcare plan in our contract!

“I’m so excited. I’m very happy to be back at work, I am happy that we won. We showed our powers in numbers and we showed how strong our union could be. I’m just so happy to be back,” nurse Alyssa Wagenstein says after a three-day strike.

Our hearts go out to the victims, friends & families, & all our Asian and AsAm members who are dealing with tragedy at the start of the #LunarNewYear. We must do more to reform gun laws so that all communities are free to live without fear of gun violence!

56.8% of RNs report that staffing has gotten worse recently. We know what is to blame... the hospital industry's bottom line! They deliberately understaff hospitals with enough nurses to care for patients — and it’s only gotten worse during recent surges in respiratory illnesses.

NYSNA members play a leading role in undoing disparities in our healthcare system. Join us today, 11:30am as nurses honor Dr. King's fight for healthcare justice & speak out for the most vulnerable patients & demand a fair contract that delivers health equity.
WE ARE NURSES & We Demand Health Equity. In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the ongoing struggle for civil rights and healthcare justice, NYSNA New York City Health and Hospitals (H+H)/Mayorals nurses are marching on H+H headquarters to demand that nurses, patients and the communities are treated better.

NYC H+H/Mayorals nurses care for New York City’s most vulnerable patients. They are essential, yet they are understaffed, under-resourced and underpaid. They are rising up to demand a fair contract with pay equity for nurses and health equity for their patients and communities. Join the speak-out and march on Jan. 18 at 11:30 a.m., 55 Water Street, Manhattan.
