We wanted to conduct an exercise in remembrance, seeking out the survivors of school shootings from as far back as we could find them. What, we wondered, could their memories teach us about our inattention?https://nym.ag/2DdpI02

If you replace the word ‘race’ with any other word (ie: revolutionary, citizen, halo, star, world), his argument still stands because it’s not the subject. Context is key, so don’t try to act like he’s talking about anything other than people who amass weaponry.

Not the point. He brings up young people using guns and a “race war” when he is from the city where black on black gun violence is an epidemic.

I grew up around guns. My family are hunters and military. I was TRAINED to shoot guns. Most importantly I was EDUCATED on guns and the damage guns can cause as well as KILL. I’ve YET to use a gun or even THREATEN to use a gun on another human being. EDUCATION is key.

R u b n serious right now ? Laws do nothing, their a joke. Mothers and fathers are what's needed. To spend time with your children and raise them correctly, teach them and educate them. Not public schools, propaganda and strangers teaching our kids. The parents are the problem.

Yes, but what about kids with no parents? Or parents that work constantly so their child isn't taken away from them?

Yes obviously my opinion isn't an option for kiddos without parents. However as for working, i resigned to raise & teach our two little ones. My wife kept working. We changed our lifestyles dramatically to make things work. Wasn't easy, but most things of n e significance aren't.

Yeah, the millions of people that work multiple jobs to feed their children, clearly just weren't willing to sacrifice enough.

Ummm, i didn't say nor insinuate that. I told you what worked for us. However i do believe there are lots of people who live outside their means and make poor decisions tho. These individuals I'm speaking of will just work another job vs changing what needs to be changed.
