Democrats can’t keep dodging immigration as a real issue. Trump’s lies and fear-mongering about the migrant caravan only prove the point. @sullydish writeshttps://nym.ag/2D5h5oh

And folks are surprised Trump attacks the media? Where was this article when Obama and Clinton opposed open borders and wanted a crackdown on illegal immigration? Problem is worse not not better.

I could care less if an immigrant lived next to me. there’s a certain kind of person that would have a problem with it, though. wonder what the term is for someone like that? bassist? something like that.

They're over 10,000 miles away on foot. It's also illegal to deploy the military on American soil which is what Trump and Mattis plan to do regardless

Mexico is already processing over 2700 asylum requests from people within this caravan. That's 2700 out of between 3600-7000 people.

since when is it illegal to deploy the American military on US soil? putting aside the fact that they are supposed to protect this very soil, didn't Kennedy deploy the national guard to deal with that whole "Desegregation of schools" debacle?

That's the purpose of the national guard and the national guard only. It's been illegal since 1807. Read the Insurrection Act

The Posse Comitatus Act was never about banning military use in law enforcement. ... This could be done to enforce any federal law, and the marshals didn't have to try civilian methods first. cont.

They're seeking asylum applications? They could do that at any US embassy, including the one in their country. This is a publicity stunt, calculated to create an emotional appeal. I'm sorry people aren't living a perfect life, but US citizens are not obligated to pay for it.

Enough with the fear-mongering. Immigration is a huge issue. Why doesn’t anyone want to talk about all of the MS-13 violence on Long Island? Some of my family members live on streets where multiple homes have 30+ people living in them. All S. American immigrants.
