A fine example of real ‘fake news’. Fermented foods have a long and storied history of health benefits. Amazing somebody is getting paid to write this article.

Kombucha may not be the greatest thing to drink currently, but probiotics are currently saving lives all over the world, not to mention the extensive research that has gone into proving their worth.

I think yr writer may be wrong. To my knowledge, being a fermented food kombucha is a prebiotic. There are tremendous benefits of prebiotics, esp if high in L+ lactic acid which results in butyrate production. There are numerous studies showing gut health benefit of butyrates.
