Soon-Yi Previn on whether she has any positive recollections of her years with Mia Farrow http://nym.ag/2NftOds pic.twitter.com/9u1a5a3Gdl
Soon-Yi Previn says that she “regrets” that her mother found some of the nude Polaroids Woody Allen had taken of Soon-Yi after their affair had begun, but notes that they were taken in the privacy of Allen’s home for themselves http://nym.ag/2NftOds pic.twitter.com/pVsnWX4hcB
This is outrageous. Written by a friend of Woody Allen, reporting his lies as “his side of the story” instead of looking for facts or corroboration. This is disgusting
Also for future reference, a friend of woody Allen’s probably shouldn’t be writing about sexual abuse, pedophelia, or #metoo
Why is she it ok for Mia's friends to perpetuate "her side"??
It’s not about sides, it’s about credible evidence and facts, which this article did not contain. There is a preponderance of evidence that he molested at least one child and preyed on his step daughter
There is no "preponderance of evidence" at all. Why is Dylan Farrow to be believed over Soon-Yi? It seems to me that Mia Farrow should be investigated. Adopting all of these kids doesn't make her a saint or above the law.
Indeed, we like to denounce so fast. If no one is being harmed why do we care so much? Let them speak and then decide
No one was being harmed? He groomed, molested, then married the girl he was raising as his daughter.
Did u read article? She was 21, she WAS NOT A MINOR. Mia Farrow never mothered Soon Yi, she was more like a domestic/slave. Mia is not a saint bc she adopted 15 kids. 2 of those kids committed suicide. She abused disabled kids. Moses Farrow & Soon Yi Previn have similar stories.
...She’s still a victim imo. And it’s despicable to have a decades longs friend and self proclaimed admirer of Allen to write a one sided hot take to further discredit someone who’s story has never wavered
When will people stop telling other people if they are a victim or not. She’s 47 + says she’s not a victim. Believe her. Everything about this story is odd. No one will ever really know. There is 1 count of child molestation that was investigated. No other #MeToo
surrounds Allen.
Previn is entitled to tell her story. Unfortunately, the choice of author and Allen’s presence will mean people will continue to question whether this is HER story. Given how they came to know each other you cannot rule out she is still a victim of Allen’s grooming
True, their 25+ year relationship had a creepy origin. Although many falsely believe Allen was her adoptive father, Mia’s husband, or even Mia’s live in boyfriend. He was none of those. Why not believe a 47 year old woman’s assertions about her own life? Not for us to judge this.
Guess with my it’s hard to just always take things at face value. The history, context and nature of this interview does little to allay concerns about Allen’s behaviour & comes across more as his fight back rather than Previn revealing her truth. Oprah better option perhaps
But we’re believing a 51-year-old woman in other critical matters. We shouldn’t cherry pick authenticity of experience. One can loathe Allen and still allow this woman agency; infantilizing her to negate any narrative marginalizes her voice and truth. Let’s listen to all women.
I don’t say I believe Farrow either. Likely the “truth” will never be clear to the public or many of those more directly involved. Want to be hopeful this is Previn’s true voice, but the arrangements for the interview in the context of the allegations made don’t give me comfort

But talking sense.
When the interviewer is a friend of the alleged perpetrator... Yeah, so neutral
