FWIW, one fish harvester mentioned, "... we pray and fast for God to give us fish." This happens when fishery management is left in the hands of fishing actors who do not have the capacity and capabilities to navigate challenges on their own.

Unfortunately, many fishers die like this given their all at sea to provide fish (food) for their families and the world! Only if someone cares 🤔🤔

To the memory of the around 250 fishers that died not came home in Bangladesh. Their wooden “trawlers” were similar to these ones I worked on, near the Indian border. Generally no safety equipment on board. When you don’t have anything to loose, you risk everything every day. RIP

I had 2 new (external) PhD students who accepted offers for Sept and then decided to do something else so I have last minute openings for 2 DOMESTIC PHD students. I can argue for outstanding international students but not with such a time frame (sorry). Ping me if u want to chat!
