Today we are releasing additional preliminary results from our statewide antibody survey. The survey shows that 12.3% of the state population is positive for COVID-19 antibodies, from an expanded sample size of 15,000. (Results are weighted.)

You’re more likely to volunteer to get tested if you suspect that you had the virus. So initial estimates tend to overestimate the population that have antibodies. With more testing, you will converge to a true percentage

Is there ANY scientific evidence thus far, as to how long (if at all) a recovered patient retains immunity?

Right but there’s also “ no evidence” that people have gotten very ill after recovering.
