There is a concern that the CDC guidelines on PPE are not adequately protecting our nurses & doctors.
We're aware of the concerns & we're actively looking into it.
If the guidelines don’t sufficiently protect our health care professionals, we'll put our own guidelines in place.

Quickly please 🙏- patients are coughing all over and we are told no N 95 unless you are doing a procedure. Start airborne precautions and strict isolation in negative pressure rooms - not in regular rooms.

My MD sister, while teaching at a medical university during Ebola, after a nurse following Ebola protocol contracted the virus, compared CDC protocol to WHO, said CDC IS inadequate, teaching her students the WHO protocol NOT CDC. Get 2nd opinions from your top NY experts.
Mr. Cuomo we completely agree. As a NY ICU physician who works for NY state, I personally know of many HCWs +Covid/sick given current guidelines. If we had appropriate PPE then we would be more willing to pick up extra shifts not fearing exposure. Thanks for considering us!
