One guy on Underhill Ave has essentially ended @UnderhillOSCC for the day. He’s dragging out barriers, yelling at volunteers and being very confrontational. @NYC_DOT you gonna provide any assistance here or not?
Removing Open Streets barricades is dangerous & illegal. Open Streets are an important part of the city's recovery. We are working with NYPD & our partners to investigate & stop this type of unacceptable action. We intend to get all affected Open Streets safely operational again.

So you'll be providing more solid barriers and the staff to put them in and remove them as needed? Because throwing some cops and the same barriers that got moved and stolen isn't going to do anything.

I have repeatedly dealt with aggressive drivers on 31st Ave Astoria on weekends, esp AM. They drive around the barriers, often even on wrong side of road, towards cyclists head on.
