@nyctsubway Thanks. To be clear: I know the system has unpreventable issues. But zero communication to riders is unacceptable.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@nyctsubway The pace of technological innovation in the world is astounding, but the MTA is stuck in the 80s in many ways. Please do better. -
@fromedome@NYCTSubway subway average approx 6m rides/day, vast # of which go without a hitch. I'd add that's fairly innovative itself Dan -
@aweissman@nyctsubway Totally. But if you travel basically anywhere in the world, visual + audio comms. to passengers better in every way. -
@fromedome@NYCTSubway maybe, but none of those others are as old & only Seoul, Beijing, Shanghai, Moscow, Tokyo, Guangzhou have more riders -
@aweissman Number of riders shouldn't affect that they aren't using the speakers installed in stations to alert about long delays. -
@fromedome shit ton of stations, tons of platforms, tons of maintenance to do to keep it running -
@aweissman Yep, and they do a decent job there. Highly doubt that affects ability to communicate though. -
@fromedome fair points all. I just think its also relevant to put it in perspective. - 6 more replies
