  1. Restaurants were hurting even pre-COVID, no doubt in part due to third-party delivery services' predatory practices. I'm proud of this Council's work to keep protecting our cherished small businesses by passing permanent fee caps once and for all.

  11. The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for New York City until 5:45 PM this evening (8/22). Plz everyone take care. If you are driving, remember not to drive your car into areas where the water covers the roadway. The depth may be higher than you realize.

  12. Strong winds, heavy rain and coastal flooding are expected tonight into tomorrow as  approaches.  Winds will strengthen and rainfall will become more widespread by daybreak.  There is a flash food risk through about 8 PM tomorrow.

  15. VACCINE UPDATE: The Biden administration just announced plans to give people who received a Pfizer or Moderna vaccine a booster shot eight months after their second dose. The boosters will be available beginning the week of 9/20.   More info here ⬇️
