Thanks to S.I. Community Board 3’s Land Use Committee for voting unanimously in favor of South Richmond Zoning Relief! This plan will ease zoning burdens on homeowners, enhance preservation of natural features, & give the community greater say on larger, more sensitive sites.

approved a proposal that aims to bring a new residential project with over 330 homes, a new supermarket, and a community facility to Allerton, The Bronx. Located near the 2/5 train, it’s a fantastic example of transit-oriented development.

The Commission will also hold a public hearing on the expansion of York Studios, expanding the TV & film production to Soundview, The Bronx, adding ~280 jobs and creating new open space along the Bronx River waterfront and connection to Soundview Park. on.nyc.gov/3HI3sdD

Besides “Eds and Meds,” the CPC will discuss what it heard at last month’s public hearings for two Queens projects – a 100% affordable, resilient building with over 100 homes in Bayswater, & a demapping of a portion of 43rd Ave in Bayside to make an existing retaining wall legal.
