My message to the Jewish community, and all communities, is this simple: the time for warnings has passed. I have instructed the NYPD to proceed immediately to summons or even arrest those who gather in large groups. This is about stopping this disease and saving lives. Period.

Call all communities out equally or else you will be responsible for a resumption of the hate crimes against visibly Orthodox Jews that plagued our city throughout 2019. Help us guard against bias crimes; don’t throw tinder on the fire.

I actually think he is doing us a favor by being more aggressive against us. Anti semites will be calm.

Dear Mr. Mayor. I was there, standing on the blocked street at Bedford x penn st with a mask & social distancing. All people around me had masks and kept a distance. Yes, the crowd was big, but spread. Until the @NYPD came & screamed, "everyone immediately go-up-on-the-sidewalk!"

Stop. Look at the photos. Many were not wearing masks. I'm very sorry for your loss but many thousands of New Yorkers have been lost who haven't been properly mourned or laid to rest yet. It's hard for all of us We all want our city to get back and to do that we must distance.
