Tesla makes cars with sophisticated hvac systems. SpaceX makes spacecraft with life support systems. Ventilators are not difficult, but cannot be produced instantly. Which hospitals have these shortages you speak of right now?

We'd probably need less had you closed the school earlier and stopped telling people to go about their lives as normal before March 15th or whatever it was.

.... you know there are actual companies that make these yes? You could buy them from them? They could make them quite quickly for you and they have experience?

Or somebody could send skilled engineers and machinists from a car company to work alongside the ventilator companies staff and then run the assembly of them 24 hours a day? (this is basically what happened in WWII with bombers.). Just an idea Elon.

Have you tried ventilator manufacturers? Not sure why auto manufacturers would be a go-to for medical equipment. How about Chinese manufacturers? The US has moved most manufacturing to China and they have more experience.
