I have never in my life seen a more demented attempt at a product mascot than this probiotics brand smiley face polyp-riddled intestine. This thing killed me so many times in Elden Ring.

One of my biggest gripes about Cyberpunk was I found the skill tree dreary. That kind of granular mathematics is difficult for me to get excited about. So I’m pretty damn intrigued to know more.

So Cyberpunk’s expansion totally overhauls the original game. AI, Skills, Perks, vehicles, police... baffling how this has been undersold. videogameschronicle.com/features/cyber
If Cyberpunk is going to lift it's expansion wholesale from another story, they could choose a lot worse than Escape From New York.

Oh look: the R majority was built on the backs of violations of the voting rights act.

I saw discuss the game Severed yesterday, which in typical navel-gazing fashion compelled me to revisit my own review (one of the last I did for AV Club). But more notable was reading the comments and being reminded of what a truly great game community looked like.

The one bummer around the absolute visual triumph of Spiderverse is studio takeaway will be their animation should look like Spiderverse and not animation is capable of anything you can imagine.

Spider-Verse! I thought it suffered just a bit from sequel bloat, which is a shame, because when that movie hit, it was one of the most lyrical cinematic experiences I’ve had; everything in total harmony and it just sang.

Sure, that seems reasonable, but note that the stereoscope cards are sold separately.

I watched Quantumania while folding laundry last night. All the movie’s failures of storytelling were as advertised, but it’s impossible for me to fully disregard a movie with such wild and inventive visual design. It’s two different movies that rarely interact.

We don't need "a journalistic center" when a major ruling party is busy picking its voters, exerting minoritarian control with an iron fist, and is just wildly out of touch with between 60% and 90% of the nation on every major issue because there really isn't one.

NEW: 2 yrs ago, I set out to learn everything about Heather Mayer, a popular figure in the local BDSM scene whose death was never solved. The reporting took me and across the country chasing allegations of a serial abuser in the BDSM community. Read the investigation:

Police called Heather Mayer's hanging death a suicide, but her mother believed there was more to it. As she set out to find the truth, more women came forward with allegations of assault in the Twin Cities bondage community. startribune.com/heather-mayer-

A TPUSA Contributor learned Chick-Fil-A has a diversity, equity and inclusion officer: “Chick-Fil-A you are no longer the Lord’s chicken. You’re actually the woke chicken and I’m really upset about it as a Christian woman.…We’re taking this boycott Chick-Fil-A thing seriously.”

Given the benighted times we live in, I’m sure the conversation will invoke wokeness in some useless capacity. But what really sets the withering tone of the piece is the appalling lack of ambition. A half-assed senior project from a kid confusing their bullshit for profundity.

The piece never suggests the exhibit is worth doing, but if you simply have to, here at least are a few ways to illustrate the theme in a more cohesive and ambitious fashion. It’s smart, insightful writing.

This piece is fantastic for multiple reasons, but one is that it’s a best case example of the role of a critic. It’s not sufficient to say it’s bad; Farago uses his considerable knowledge to show why it doesn’t work and even provide examples of how it could be stronger.

Listening to a documentarian on Fresh Air discuss Clarence Thomas’ history and it’s astonishing the level of hardship and adversity a person can overcome to become one of the country’s biggest shitheads.

Bring baby the late 80’s early 90’s aesthetic of having a giant industrial exhaust fan spinning lazily in the background.
