Areas in northern MN and northern WI have a better chance of seeing snow, and higher snow amounts. Areas to the south could see a mix on Saturday, which will mean less snowfall #mnwx #wiwxpic.twitter.com/ELvuWv4YoV

We’re driving from Grand Marais to Twin Cities on Saturday. Is that hopeless?

Pretty much. Your "best" travel times are either right now or waiting until Sunday afternoon. However, the shore along Lake Superior will likely receive heavy amounts of snow. Travel could be very difficult for most of Sunday.

Driving from Lime Springs Iowa to Roberts Wisconsin, would Saturday morning be a good time to avoid any ice?

You may run into a wintry mix as you get closer to the cities, but most of your drive should be rain tomorrow morning.

Hmm, traveling back to Minneapolis from Green Bay. Trying to decide on leaving today or waiting until Sunday? Thank you!

Your "best" option is today. Though, you would need to leave pretty quickly to avoid the onset of snow/freezing rain tonight.

Yes. Choosing a different day would be less hazardous.
