When we say a river is at the crest, that's the highest level it will reach in the near future. Once the crest is reached, rivers can either hold steady for a few days or begin falling. By no means is the flooding over. In fact we'll remain in major flood for several more days

WOW! BACK IN MID-90S OR SO, from Illinois, we crossed D Mississippi River in2 St. Louis D crest looking lyk jst 3 feet below d bridge. There's tht goose-bump feeling, tht blocked D thought of prayer. It was such a shuddering-like experience. And D thought of God popped after.
